A little about meDear Culver Families,
My name is Erin Godoy. I love math and science. (And yes I loved Calculus!) I have been a teacher for 17 wonderful years! I graduated from Governors State University. I attained my Master's Degree in Curriculum and Instruction from Olivet Nazarene University, and I received my Math Specialist Certificate from University of Wisconsin. I am honored to be a Math Instructional Specialist here at Culver School. My role as an Instructional CoachIn my Instructional Specialist role at Culver, I work with teachers and students at all grade levels to enhance instruction, cognition, and learning. I will be supporting the intervention teachers, to help ensure the fidelity of the intervention programs they are teaching, as well as differentiate instruction based on student data. I will also be working with teachers during math labs to model mathematics instruction as well as co-teaching. I will also review student data and collaborate with classroom teachers to help guide instructional strategies that are used in their classrooms. I am part of MTSS Leadership team that is responsible for making many decisions that support the teachers and the students. Throughout the year, I will also provided professional development for teachers based on their needs.
Other coaching rolesThis year, I am also teaching Automation and Robotics to 7th Graders! This exciting opportunity has also allowed me to coach our Culver Robotics' Team! We are hoping for a great first season! In addition to this, I am also coaching cheerleading and girls' soccer! All I can say is GO CULVER!
